Question 1

What is high dusting and why is it important?

Accepted Answer

High dusting is the professional cleaning of overhead surfaces above 10 feet — including ceiling beams, ductwork, pipes, light fixtures, sprinkler heads, and structural steel. It is required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22 to prevent dust accumulation that creates fire, health, and compliance hazards. In facilities with combustible dust (NFPA 654), accumulated overhead dust can trigger explosions. Aerroc Enterprises provides OSHA-compliant high dusting services for warehouses, data centers, healthcare facilities, food processing plants, and federal buildings across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.

Question 2

How often should a facility have high dusting performed?

Accepted Answer

Frequency depends on facility type and dust generation rate. OSHA requires overhead surfaces to be kept clean enough to prevent hazardous accumulation. Typical schedules: warehouses and distribution centers — annually or semi-annually; food processing and pharmaceutical facilities — quarterly; data centers — semi-annually; healthcare facilities — annually or per Joint Commission audit cycles; facilities with combustible dust — quarterly minimum per NFPA 654. Aerroc Enterprises offers quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance programs with discounted pricing for recurring clients.

Question 3

What is combustible dust and how is it cleaned safely?

Accepted Answer

Combustible dust is fine particulate matter — including wood dust, metal dust, flour, sugar, plastic, and pharmaceutical powders — that can ignite or explode when suspended in air at sufficient concentration. NFPA 654 and NFPA 660 govern combustible dust hazard management. Safe cleaning requires Class II Division 2 rated HEPA vacuum equipment, non-sparking tools, grounded operators, and documented removal protocols. Aerroc Enterprises is equipped with Class II Div 2 certified equipment and provides full compliance documentation for combustible dust cleaning in manufacturing, food processing, and industrial facilities.

Question 4

Can ceiling tiles be cleaned instead of replaced?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aerroc Enterprises offers ceiling tile cleaning and restoration as a cost-effective alternative to replacement. Stained, discolored, or dusty acoustic ceiling tiles can be cleaned and recoated in place, restoring appearance and light reflectance at 20–40% of the cost of replacement. This service is available for healthcare, education, government, office, retail, restaurant, and industrial facilities. Ceiling tile restoration also avoids the disruption and waste of full tile replacement.

Question 5

Is Aerroc Enterprises OSHA compliant for overhead cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aerroc Enterprises operates in full compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22 (housekeeping), OSHA 1926.453 (aerial work platforms), NFPA 654 (combustible dust), ISO 14644 (cleanroom standards), and Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements. All technicians are trained in fall protection, aerial lift operation, and hazardous dust handling. Aerroc provides detailed before-and-after documentation, compliance reports, and certificates of completion for every project.

Question 6

What areas does Aerroc Enterprises serve?

Accepted Answer

Aerroc Enterprises serves the entire DC Metro region including Northern Virginia (Manassas, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, Ashburn, Reston, Herndon, Sterling, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Stafford County, Fredericksburg, Warrenton), Washington DC, and Maryland (Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Frederick, Baltimore). The company is headquartered in Manassas, Virginia and serves commercial, industrial, healthcare, federal, and data center clients throughout the National Capital Region.

Question 7

Does Aerroc clean data center ceilings safely?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aerroc Enterprises provides ESD-safe (electrostatic discharge safe) ceiling and overhead cleaning for data centers, server rooms, and critical environments. All equipment and protocols are designed to prevent static discharge that could damage sensitive electronics. Services include ceiling grid cleaning, raised floor cleaning, overhead cable tray cleaning, and CRAC unit surroundings cleaning. Aerroc serves data centers in Ashburn (Data Center Alley), Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, and the broader DC Metro region.

Question 8

What equipment does Aerroc use for high-reach cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Aerroc Enterprises uses scissor lifts, boom lifts, and articulating aerial work platforms for high-reach access up to 60+ feet. All lift operators are OSHA-trained and certified. For combustible dust environments, Aerroc uses Class II Division 2 rated HEPA vacuum systems. For data centers, ESD-safe tools and grounded equipment are used. The company owns its own equipment fleet, which allows for faster mobilization and more competitive pricing than subcontracted lift services.
